About me

My name is Erik van Dongen and I was born in 1972. I live in Moerdijk, a small village in the South of the Netherlands (about 35 km below Rotterdam), together with my lovely wife Winnifred and our two fantastic kids Emma and Jasper.
I spend my workingdays at the City of Breda as a Business Intelligence datawarehouse developer, a job I am quite passionate about. My specific areas of expertise are Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2008, Sharepoint 2003-2007 and Baan IV. In the past I have worked as a Planning and Control Advisor, System Administrator and Account Coordinator Finance.

Classic motorcycles, (Vespa) scooters, and especially Scotts, are my absolute passion. I like working on my bikes just as much as riding them. To be honest I am not much of a restorer, I like my bikes to look as if they are used regularly. And they are. With riding, I mean serious riding as I am a big fan of long distance rallies. Besides bikes I like working on my websites, reading, surfing the web and of course spending time with my family.
