1964 Vespa 90

Pictures about the serious tuning work I did recently on my 1964 Vespa 90. The bike has been fitted with a powerful cylinder, large carb and a racing exhaust.

Last year the 1964 Vespa 90 has been seriously tuned “updated”… It has been tuned using one of the most powerful 125cc cylinders and exhausts currently available on the market. This implicated quite some work I can tell you…
Is is not completely finished yet but the BHP at the rear wheel should rise from about 5 to about 20. And that is quite a lot for a scooter that only weighs 70 kg!
The main thing that has to be done is setting up the race clutch properly so it does not drag as it does now. The big Keihin 35 mm racing carb also needs some fiddling with. After that it I will put it on the dyno to have the carb settings checked and to establish the BHP.
I have ridden it to one rally so far and it is so quick that it is almost terrifying…

I have documented most of my recent work for a Dutch scooterforum and will translate and post this here in the coming months.
